Braunwyn Windham-Burke explains why she may not return to The Real Housewives of Orange County as she also admits she almost relapsed the night before they were set to film the reunion.

After being called out by her co-stars for the majority of the season, Braunwyn has revealed that she has no plans to return for season 16 if they can’t make amends with her. She explains that she cannot handle “being attacked all year again.” As fans well know, the reality star had a tumultuous season after coming out as a lesbian and revealing she’s an alcoholic.

Braunwyn says “it’s not healthy” for her to deal with the extra stress while attempting to navigate her journey with sobriety and admits that she was actually looking for a way out of the reunion and thought rehab would be one way to avoid the taping.

“Before the reunion I was right there next to my bed, on the floor, crying hysterically,” she shared with Access Hollywood’s Housewives Nightcap. “I almost drank. I mean this is horrible to say, I almost drank because I thought if I drink, I can go to rehab and won’t have to go to the reunion.”

The ladies have been rather tough on Braunwyn as they’ve repeatedly called her “hypocritical,” “narcissistic” and “selfish.” In a confessional on the show, co-star Emily Simpson stated, “I think every decision Braunwyn makes in life is to better Braunwyn.”

The mother-of-seven told host Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live that Gina Kirschenheiter is the only cast member that has supported her the most since coming out, and since going public with her addiction issues.

“My cast has been pretty unsupportive, you know, in a lot of issues in my life,” Braunwyn said. “That was shocking.”

The RHOC star went on to call her co-stars “cruel,” and she was especially floored by Kelly Dodd‘s response. If fans recall, Kelly made several shocking allegations on WWHL and accused Braunwyn of faking her issues with alcohol for a storyline.

“When someone says to you, ‘I’m an alcoholic and I’m trying to be sober,’ there’s only one response, and that’s, ‘How can I help?’ ” she declared. “For people with such a large platform to be so cruel and unkind about this was really, really shocking to me.”
